Howard University's Homecoming is offering performers the chance to be featured at its renown International Yardfest Celebration with new performance applications. Preparation is in full swing for what promises to be a homecoming to remember and Steering Committee staff are looking to secure the best talent now.
International Yardfest attracts upwards of 60,000 viewers a year, with many influential industry executives often among that number. The stage, which has featured the likes of Jay Z, Kanye West, Rick Ross, Fabolous, Casey Veggies, Wale, Keri Hilson, Mr. Vegas, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh and Notorius BIG, has given many now prominent artists their start.
"Countless up and coming artists have graced our stage and made it big shortly thereafter," says this year's Yardfest coordinator, Angelica Lee, "This is an excellent opportunity for artists to gain valuable exposure and begin making history."
