This was a powerful and very moving peaceful demonstration by the Black Community when the State of Georgia executed Troy Anthony Davis on Sept 21, 2011 without any physical evidence. In fact, seven of nine so-called eye-witnesses recanted their testimony against Troy Davis--testimonies that were lies. These lies sealed the fate of Troy Davis.
However, while a lack of physical evidence plus 7 lying testimonies was enough to kill Troy Davis who is Black, at the same time in another case, Georgia removed a White inmate (Samuel David Crowe) from death row to a life sentence, even though there was physical evidence and a confession that Samuel Crowe was guilty of his crime. Troy Davis was executed based on lies and no physical evidence while Samuel David Crowe was spared being executed though there was physical evidence, a confession, and NO lying witnesses.
