Throughout the sixteenth and nineteenth century hundreds of thousands of Africans were taken by Europeans to the Americas as slaves. Within the mid nineteenth century slavery was finally abolished. Since then, descendants of those African slaves conscious of their roots, but living in the Caribbean and in North and South America, have continued to search for their relatives in Africa.
To seek out answers many looked to DNA profiling to track their people in Africa. Unfortunately, what these don't know is this scientific tool is not fool-proof. It has limits and DNA testing cannot tell precisely which people in Africa those ancestors on the slave ships came from in Africa.
Sadly, some unscrupulous people in society have set themselves up in business using DNA to dupe those searching for their roots in Africa. Take a look at the following video. It may look quiet innocuous. However, see if you can spot the fraud DNA merchants are perpetrating by the lies told in the video.
