Mary McLeod Bethune was one of the most powerful women in America and the world during the early part of the 20th Century. She founded Bethune-Cookman College, was a Presidential Advisor to four US Presidents, served as a organizer for the United Nations and was the founder and President of the largest African-American Women's Organization in the World - The National Council of Negro Women, Inc.
